This little jogging suit is so cute. I will be sad when he outgrows it.
One sunday Nathan came home to find us both still sleeping. Parker looks like an old man sleeping in his undershirt. Last night after his bath Parker decided it was play time. He kicked around for about 20 min with just his diaper on and another 20 after he got dressed.
Blessing day! Parker wore Nathan's blessing outfit, it was a little big on him but it was to cute to pass up.
Nathan decided he missed out on not being able to carry Parker inside him for 9 months so he tried to recreate the experience. Its almost the same, if only I could make him 5 degrees hotter and very very uncomfortable.
Tummy time! Usually he cries during tummy time but if I catch him in the right mood we can actually get a smile or two.
If Nathan was here right now I'd have him help me get rid of the red eye but he isn't so this is as good as it gets
This is Parkers swing, every couple of days he thinks he likes it. The swing is great when I'm trying to fix my lunch.
My mom and dad requested new pictures emailed to them. They must think that I am a better photographer because they have about a million pictures of Parker of their own.

Eyes wide open
When I was younger I used to have sleepovers with my cousins Justin and Jamie. Justin sleeps with his eyes half open which is kinda scary when you are little. Apparently he got this trait from my uncle who would follow you with his eyes around the room when he was sleeping. Last week I discovered that I must have given this same trait to Parker.

Lifetime supply of Cheetos
Since being home all day I have come to enjoy the beauty of buying things online and having them delivered to our home. Its so exciting to listen for the mail man or fed ex man knowing that today could be the day your package arrives. On Friday Nathan got the best package in his mind and the worst in mine.
Thats right, we are the proud owners of this beauty. Nathan can't wipe the smile off his face. He is lucky I love him so much. I know you must be wondering what on earth we are going to use a Frito Lay truck for. I'd love to explain it to you but unless you are a male and born with the last name of Young you wont get it. poor poor Parker. Now if only it came with a lifetime supply of Cheetos.

The Secret of Parenting
Yesterday was Parker's two month check up where he received his immunizations. The nurse gave him three shots in his legs-making him cry, making me want to too. He has grown so much in the past two months. He is now 11 lbs 2 oz and 23 inches long. This puts him in the 75th percentile for his age. His head is 42 cm putting him in the 90th percentile for his age. Translation....Parker's head is a little larger for the rest of his body, even by baby standards. That's OK though we think he is still so cute.
At the appointment the Dr. explained that Parker needed to learn how to fall asleep on his own. When I asked a question about if he was really old enough to "learn" by crying it out he said babies can't remember from one minute to the next. Now I was really confused. When we got home and I could tell Parker was ready for a nap we gave it a try. It worked-5 min of fake, I'm really tired, crying and he was out. Then, this morning it worked again. This afternoon it worked again. And just when I thought it had worked again this evening he woke up after 5 min of sleeping. I'm always tricked into thinking that I finally have some technique of being a parent down and then Parker goes and proves me wrong. Oh well, I can't expect to shower get some house work done AND exercise. For today I'll settle for the shower and housework.

Parker
Over the past week Parker has decided he doesn't like to sleep past 6 in the morning. Which is really annoying. The most annoying thing is he is so cute and playful at 6 am. How can I be frustrated with this face? This morning to pass the time until he was tired again we read Put me in the Zoo. by Robert Lopshire. I know he doesn't know what I am doing yet but its fun to pretend. Usually by around 9 or 10 he will be ready for a nap so I lay down with him. Then we don't wake up until 11 or 12. Its been a really lazy week.
