Harry Potter

Last night with all the other Potter Fans I stood in line at Wal-Mart at midnight to get my copy of the seventh book of Harry Potter. The line never seemed to end as it went out the door and wrapped around the store. We patiently waited with our Gryffindor arm bands that said that we would get a book. Then the time came and we got our books!! This is Stephanie Brookann, our neighbor Colby and me with our books. Looks like I know what I am going to be reading for the next few weeks. I haven't read 100 pages yet and someone has already died. It is going to be intense!!

Hats off to Parker

This previous week we spent tons of time with family. At each event Parker was lucky enough to wear a hat for the occasion.
This hat was worn at Bear Lake to keep the sun off of his face. This same hat actually made a previous trip to Bear Lake and was worn by my cousin. The words BOY CRAZY are actually printed on it. It seems by the look on his face Parker knows exactly what it said. This hat, worn in true family reunion fashion is actually in Parker's favorite color so it soon became a toy rather than a hat. Plus it made his head all sweaty in the 90+ temperatures.
And finally to protect him from his cousin Cecelia, Parker wore this viking hat at his Grandma Young's on Sunday. Just kidding Rachel!!!!! He actually just didn't care that he was wearing it after his uncle Chris put it on his head.

Family Reunions

A day and a half after we arrived home from Bear Lake we left for Idaho for another family reunion. At this reunion there are crafts for the children...or their moms. And Volleyball for the others.

Bear Lake

This Last week we had a family reunion with my family in Bear Lake. Here is a taste of our vacation.

We arrived Sunday afternoon and took pictures over looking the lake. Because of the fires the view doesn't look as bright as it usually is. These are my parents, my sisters and my dad's parents.
Parker loved floating on the lake he would sleep for hours.
We bought this life jacket at costco in march. Hopefully next year Parker's neck will be longer!! We only took him on the boat once for a few min...he was less than impressed.
This was my Mom and cousin about to hit a HUGE wave.

By the last day Nathan learned that if he stood on the back of the tsunami that he could pull us out of the wake, even if I was screaming at him.

I always hate coming home. See you all next year!!!

Welcome Home Elder Young!!

Three years ago this month Nathan came home from his mission. At the airport in LA he met up with the Oakland missionaries and our good friend Dave. They managed to switch seats so that the could sit by each other on the flight. During the flight they talked about their missions, coming home and playing the field. Three weeks later we were engaged and two weeks after us Dave and Aubree were engaged. I am so glad that you two are all talk!!!
